What Are Nightly Notes?
- They're the opposite of Morning Pages.
- So they're written at night instead of first thing in the morning.
- They are typed instead of handwritten,
- They're public instead of private,
- They're guided by questions instead of flowing freely
- A completed entry consists of six questions and six answers instead of three pages
- Since they are public others are allowed to comment on them
For an interesting variation on daily writing see 100 words.

It is 10:38 pm.
- who impressed me the most today? four local construction workers who helped saved a child from a burning house. The house is on the street I grew up on and I saw the fire on my way to class
- what did I do all day? mostly waited for my car to be diagnosted as having more problems than I can have fixed right now. But I'm going to take Rob Brezney's advice and "have the courage to do the half right thing". I'll get it done in parts; following the numbered list the repair shop manager gave me. Amazingly, I trust him. He seemed to be an honest guy. I also taught class.
- when did I leave the house today? 6:45 am
- where did I go today? broken ATM, Walgreens (got some new twist crayons), Nancy's Bagels again, J to school, high school, car repair shop, fabric store, McDonalds, home, office to drop off work for a charity auction, library, class, home
- why didn't I get more done today? waited for my car instead of having someone come get me and take me home
